Freely we have received, freely we shall give. (Matthew 10:7,8)
Global Impact Operations was formed in 2010, by the Founder of Freedom Ops Inc, Anthony "Brent" Parker.
In 1991, he went with a group of teens and chaperons into Matamoros Mexico, where his life would change forever! Upon crossing the border he met 3 small children selling Chicle gum, his favorite brand of gum as a kid. His heart was completely wrecked, seeing them run around selling that gum, as their mother sat pregnant on the side of the road. From that moment he was struck with a burning desire to help people in developing countries gain equal opportunities to live in the same freedom he had experienced in his life.
After many other trips all over Mexico, in 2010, he was invited to go on a medical mission to Haiti, just after it was devastated by a 7.0 earthquake, one of the worst natural disasters in world history. Almost immediately upon returning from Haiti, Brent traveled to The Philippines on where he developed lasting relationships to bring about change. Global Impact Operations was no longer just a desire to help those in need, especially in developing countries. It had now become one of the most significant parts of his life mission.
Since then G.I.O. has done more work in Mexico, as well as in The Philippines, and Colombia. Our goal to expand our work in those countries, throughout Central and South America, and ultimately throughout the world!
The Mission of Global Impact Operations (G.I.O.) is to bring freedom globally, focusing on developing countries. We want to help people everywhere gain the opportunities that have long been the standard in developed counties such as The United States.
The mission is beyond simply giving aid to the needy, but rather helping them develop spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically so they can experience Total and Complete freedom.
It's not ok for those of us in developed countries to enjoy the freedoms we have, while others in developing countries live in poverty.
Our projects include sustainable clean water systems, aquaponic farming systems, business opportunity development, and spiritual awakening, with hands on mentoring to help them develop Total and Complete Freedom.
Of course the vision could never be accomplished by us at G.I.O. alone. We are partnered with a growing number of other established and effective organizations, such as Water Step, (Photo shown above where Water Step donated 5 water systems to Nate Shuck who works full-time in ilo ilo Philippines, after a devastating typhoon there.) and GloDev, who has developed an aquaponics farming system that facilitate conclusive community empowerment.
